2001 Maniacs (2005)
Review by Jeff

Directed by: Tim Sullivan

Starring:
Robert Englund/Mayor Buckman
Lin Shaye/Granny Boone
Giuseppe Andrews/Harper
Jay Gillespie/Anderson Lee

Plot:
On their way to Spring Break, college kids take a detour through an old Southern town. The people of Pleasant Valley insist the kids stay for their annual barbecue celebration... but instead of getting a taste of the old South, the old South gets a taste of them!

Acting:
The acting in this movie was great we get Robert Englund(Mayor Buckman) who makes this movie what it is, and Giuseppe Andrews(Harper) who plays a great southern guy, and I think is a very underrated actor. The rest of the cast was great too other than the main college kids who just played roles that anyone else could have, and look out for Eli Roth's cameo, it's pretty funny.

Gore:
We get tons of red goodness here with arms and legs ripped off, some good use of acid, lots of body parts laying around, a girl crushed by a bell, a steel rod put to fine use, a penis bit off ouchhhh, a guy crushed to death, cleaver to the chest, a head cut off, and a face cut in half.

T & A:
There was lots of t&a in this movie we get 6 pairs, and the ladies get some shirtless dudes and a butt shot.

Directing:
The film was well shot, and the setting of the old southern town was great it really made it a fun film to watch, and something totally different.

Soundtrack:
The soundtrack was cool with some banjo type music and a little rock and roll here and there.

Final thoughts:
This movie was great we get tons of gore, Robert Engulnd, Giuseppe Andrews and rednecks killing stupid college kids, yep I dug this flick a lot, I would say to give this movie a shot if your looking for something fresh and new. I give it a 8/10.
