American Nightmare (2002)
Review by Jeff
Directed by: Jon Keeyes
Starring:
Debbie Rochon/Jane
Brandie Little/Jessee
Johnny Sneed/Wayne
Brinke Stevens/Lisa
Plot:
On Halloween, seven friends call the American Nightmare pirate radio show to confess their fears. Unbeknownst to them, a serial killer is listening. Before the night is over, they will discover that their confessions have ignited a psychological game of cat-and-mouse with a killer intent on delivering their fears upon them.
Acting:
The acting in this movie was ok, the average for a low budget horror film. What stood out was that all the characters felt like everyday people you would see and not some fake Hollywood type people. Debbie Rochon (Jane) played a great psycho in this movie and I was really impressed with her acting here, Johnny Sneed(Wayne) I thought was pretty funny and I liked his character in this flick a lot.
Gore:
There isn't a whole lot of blood in this movie but we get Some cutting, gunshots, and some off screen kills.
T & A:
We get 2 pairs here.
Directing:
Jon made this movie feel real, like this could really happen. We get some cool camera shots here and there and the lighting in this movie was well done.
Soundtrack:
We get some cool rock music and I think there’s a score somewhere in the movie but I couldn’t tell.
Final thoughts:
Overall this movie is fun to watch and is a lot different then a lot of your average direct to dvd movies, and the feel of this film was great and very realistic, along with some good acting I would say give this a watch. I give it a 7/10.
