April Fools Day (2008)
Review by Jeff Hudson

Directed by: The Butcher Brothers
Starring:
Taylor Cole/Desiree
Josh Henderson/Blaine
Scout Taylor-Compton/Torrance
Joe Egender/Ryan
Plot:
Each April Fool's Day fabulously wealthy young Desiree Cartier hosts the most killer coming-out parties at her to-die-for southern mansion. And this social event is never complete without one of her patented pranks. But when this year's joke turns deadly Desiree her brother Blaine and five of their friends all become the targets of a twisted killer who begins hunting them down one by one in this chilling tale of seduction betrayal and revenge.
Acting:
The acting is horrible just horrible, let me skip a lot bullshit on all these characters and just say it’s hard to tell any of them apart because they all look similar and act about the same except for Joe Egender(Ryan) who actually isn’t that bad, but the rest of cast just brings him down.
Gore:
There is very little blood shown, but we get a girl falling off a balcony, a guy drowned, lots of off screen stuff, and some gunshots.
T & A:
What do you think? Yea nothing.
Directing:
The Butcher Brothers live up to there name by butchering the shit out of this movie, nothing stands out, it looks like any other movie like Scream, or Valentine.
Soundtrack:
We get some shitty rock music, and actually the score is pretty good but it doesn’t fit the film well.
Final thoughts:
This was even worse than I thought it would be, and I went into this thinking pretty bad things about it. There was not a lot of stuff that was the same as the original at all, they could of called it by a different name and no one would have known, but yea they have to stick it with a 80’s horror name because it’s the great trend of the 2000’s, but all in all I would say skip this movie and go watch the original it’s way better and offers a lot more than this dry dog turd of a movie does. I give it a 1/10.
