Bad Channels (1992)
Review by Jeff

Directed by: Ted Nicolaou

Starring:
Paul Hipp/Dan O’Dare
Martha Quinn/Lisa Cummings
Robert Factor/Willis
Aaron Lustig/Vernon

Plot:
An alien lands in a small town and promptly takes over the local radio station. The disk jockey, Dan O' Dare, well known for his publicity stunts, becomes a hostage. The alien uses the radio station and Dan's amused audience to target and subsequently shrink women for his collection.

Acting:
The acting in this film is petty cheesy for the most part, like most of the silly Full Moon movies are, Paul Hipp(Dan O’Dare) was pretty funny as the over the top radio do, he pretty much made this movie what it was and that’s not saying a lot, Martha Quinn(Lisa Cummings) was also pretty good and the news reporter that does whatever it takes to get the job done, The rest of the cast was ok but had small roles.

Gore:
There was no blood or gore here just some green fungus that looked cheap as hell, we don’t even get any kills in this flick, I was let down here.

T & A:
Not a single thing, pretty lame.

Directing:
Ted did a nice job with the setting of the film and added some good lighting, but there was some scenes with the band playing that went one way to long and I think could have been cut short.

Soundtrack:

Final thoughts:
Bad Channels is your typical cheesy Full Moon movie like Dollman and Demonic Toys, so if your into flick like that you should enjoy this one. The only thing is that with no kills, and lack of any blood it’s not to much of a horror flick, I would say it leans more towards a sci-fi horror flick. I give it a 4/10.
