Barracuda (1978)
Review by Jeff Hudson

Directed by: Harry Kerwin & Wayne Crawford
Starring:
Wayne Crawford/Mike
Roberta Leighton/Liza
William Kerwin/Sheriff Williams
Bert Freed/Jack
Plot:
The quaint seaside town of Palm Cove is home to upstanding citizens, good ol' fashioned southern hospitality . and a deadly rash of barracuda attacks. The town sheriff and a young marine biologist join forces to discover that the culprits are none other than the local chemical plant and its odious managers. but little do they know that the scheme runs much, much deeper.
Acting:
Some of the acting in this flick was ok and some was real bad, William Kerwin(Sheriff Williams) was the most solid actor here and did a great job in his role, Wayne Crawford(Mike) was annoying most of the time and just got on my nerves.
Gore:
We don’t really get any gore just some fish bites and some gunshots, it seemed really edited.
T & A:
None of that stuff here.
Directing:
Harry and Wayne made this feel like a made for TV flick just by the look of it and there are some pretty cool under water shots.
Soundtrack:
There wasn’t much of score it wasn’t used much so it’s hard to notice it.
Final thoughts:
Barracuda is one of those tame 70’s made for TV looking movies that is just flat out boring, it moves real slow with very little suspense or action. I would say there is much better killer fish movies out there so there is no reason to check this one out. I give it a 4/10.
