Some authors can make you so angry you spit nails, after ending a book on a cliffhanger. And some can have you gasping for more.
Rose Marie Wolf is in the latter party, after her daring ending of “Sweet Moon Dreams”, her debut novel.
In “Blood Moon”, the long-awaited sequel, our antagonist, Simon Connor has Rose in his clutches, and reveals his demented plans for her. Her mate, Jason Barnett, whom Rose thinks has perished, is alive, recovering and has one thought in his mind…Getting his mate back.
Revealing secrets of the characters, newfound developments, and new characters round up this second werewolf offering nicely, including the introduction of Cheyenne, a feisty changed-blood who helps Jason and some newcomers along the way. As usual, Rose Marie Wolf turns on the suspense, and gives us another page-turner full of nail-biting situations, startling twists, and the tenderness of Rose and Jason’s relationship, as well as hints of a budding romance between two differing characters.
All in all, a wonderful follow-up and leaves a great opening for another book in the Moon series.
