The Misled Romance of Cannibal Girl & Incest Boy
Review by Jeff

Directed by: Richard Taylor

Starring:
Janine Laurent/Cannibal Girl
Paul Lucero/Incest Boy

Plot:
If CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST and ROMEO AND JULIET were one film this would be it! In this Short Silent Super-8 film a cannibal falls in love with a boy of incest, but cannot resist the urge to EAT HIM!

Acting:
It’s kind of hard to judge the acting in this short film because there is no dialogue in the movie, so based on that Janine Laurent(Cannibal Girl) was good as a crazy Goth girl that goes on a killing spree and Paul Lucero(Incest Boy) is just kind of thrown into the film and doesn’t really do much. Also look out for a cameo by Troma’s own Lloyd Kaufman.

Gore:
This is what the film is all about the gore and we get tons of it, we get a head stomped in, a bit off penis, ripped off arm, guts ripped out, ripped off head, ripped off hand, and hearts ripped out, plus there is more stuff, it’s a bloodbath.

T & A:
Cannibal Girl shows us her stuff here.

Directing:
Richard does a nice job with this short film, the gore is awesome and the 8mm look is pretty cool.

Soundtrack:
We get a wacky industrial score that’s fits real well with the film, and adds to the low budget graininess of it all.

Final thoughts:
I don’t watch a lot of short films but this one was good, it had lots of kick ass gore, and was a nice way to kill 14 minutes. I would like to see more of Richard’s stuff in the future. I give it a 8/10.
