Cherry Falls (2000)
Review by Bindi Lavelle

Geoffery Wright, of Romper Stomper fame directs this trashy twist in the role of the virgin in horror films.
In a quiet middle American town, a costumed (of course) serial killer preys on virgins. This of course leads the town's teens to plan an orgy. What follows is blood and sex obviously.
Cherry Falls runs like a by the numbers slasher flick, but in a good way. The heavy influence of the 80s slasher formula gives the its intrigue. Although Cherry Falls follows all the slasher formula, by simply changing virgins to victors rather than victims the film is made dynamic.
For Wes Craven fans this film will provide rewards in spades. While this is not the most explosive film it does give you something a little more than cheap thrills. Cherry Falls is a typical 90s slasher flick with added satiation.6/10.
