Chocolate (2005)
Review by Jeff

<Directed by: Mick Garris

Starring:
Henry Thomas/Jamie
Matt Frewer/Wally
Lucie Laurier/Catherine

Plot:
Jamie (Henry Thomas) is a lonely and depressed and divorced young man who creates artificial flavorings until one day his life is hijacked by a series of random scenes in which he realizes that he is psychically linked to a beautiful young woman that he has never met. But when a violent image shakes him, Jamie decides to track down the woman and finds that her life is not all that it appears to be.

Acting:
The acting in this film was good for the most part, Henry Thomas(Jamie) was good as the lonely odd guy that gets his life turned upside down, Matt Fewer(Wally) was great in the small role he has, he added some good humor to the film and should have had a bigger role, Lucie Laurier(Catherine) was good but once again not a big role.

Gore:
Not a whole lot of that stuff here, what we do get is a guy ripped open with a knife, some gunshots, and a girl getting stabbed in the hand, not a lot but what there was looked nice.

T & A:
We get 2 pair here, ladies nadda for you.

Directing:
Mick did a slick job here, the film looked great and the settings were real nice, they added a lot of mood to the flick, and some of his shots were well done.

Soundtrack:
There score here was awesome, it had a very beautiful type score, and also we get a little rock/metal music during the bar scene.

Final thoughts:
This is a very different and I would say original movie that I don’t think a lot of people liked much, I thought it was well done, I just thought some of the side characters could have had a little more time in the film, but other than that one things it’s a good flick. I give it a 7/10.
