Die-ner (2010)

Review by David Rupp

A horror-comedy of errors, Die-ner (get it?) explores the existential dilemma of a sociopath killer who runs into the unique problem of his victims rising from the dead.
Written & directed by Patrick Horvath
Starring: Josh Grote, Parker Quinn and Liesel Kopp
I honestly have to say this is a pretty good little flick, turmoil, blood, passable zombies and a psychopath. the dialog is ok and the acting a bit wooden in spots but it has a nice even flow throughout. I especially like that they primarily keep to practical effects rather than rely heavily on the CG like so many do these days.
I know this review is a touch on the short side but let's face it, this is a classic middle of the road movie. Average is the best way to describe it, not great, not crap but it does fill some time if you're strapped for eye fodder and it does the job of entertainment. Let's hear it for vanilla cinema.
