The Dresden Files: Season One
Review by Bindi Lavelle

Based on Jim Butcher's popular series of novels of the same name, The Dresden Files follows the misadventures of wizard/privet eye Harry Dresden.
Harry Dresden, is a Chicago based wizard trying to make ends meet using his special talents, which involves him investigating strange cases for the police and civilians alike. However in the course of the investigations, Harry always finds himself in deep trouble.
Over the course of the season Harry, assisted by Bob his faithful spirit sidekick and Detective Murry, a no nonsense cop, who although doesn't believe in magic chooses to work with Harry because he gets result. Harry and co battle a variety of supernatural creatures, from werewolves to vampires, ghosts and evil wizards.
The Dresden Files is basically Buffy meets The Rockford Files. For those looking for some dark fantasy with a touch of humor, The Dresden Files will fulfill those needs; fans of the books though, will have to adjust to the mishmash of concepts taken from the books. However that is but a mere stepping stone for the enjoyment of the show.
This series provides bite sized supernatural mysteries, worth checking out if you want some light supernatural fun. 6/10
