Evil Toons (1992)
Review by Jeff Hudson

Directed by: Fred Olen Ray
Starring:
Monique Gabrielle/Megan
Madison Stone/Roxanne
David Carradine/Gideon Fisk
Dick Miller/Burt
Plot:
Four young girls are to clean an old house for the new owners. On the night of their arrival, a strange man arrives at the house, delivering an old book. Once he is gone, the girls examine the book, where they find a sketch of a wolf like monster. As time passes, the drawing emerges from the book and becomes an evil Toon! At one point, eventually, the girls must do whatever it takes to make the monster return to the book.
Acting:
The acting in this movie is what you would expect from the title, very cheesy but in a fun good way. Monique Gabrielle(Megan) was good as the shy bookwork girl and I thought she played it off well, Madison Stone(Roxanne) played the slutty girl very well, and the rest of the ladies were ok, also look out for David Carradine in a small role.
Gore:
The gore was pretty light here, but we get some biting, some off screen kills, and a dagger to the stomach.
T & A:
We get 5 pairs of boobs here, and a naked cartoon animal if you want to count that.
Directing:
Fred did a nice job making this a campy fun movie to watch and laugh at, the film looked pretty good, and the lighting was strong point to the looks of this movie.
Soundtrack:
We get a real cool score that a dug a lot, and some rock music here and there.
Final thoughts:
Evil Toons is one of those movies you would catch on USA Up All Night back in the day, some people might not like these type of flicks but I’m a sucker when it comes to them. The acting is real cheesy but fun, and it’s just one of those movie to pop in, have fun, and enjoy. I give it a 8/10.
