Family (2006)
Review by Jeff

Directed by: John Landis

Starring:
George Wendt/Harold
Meredith Monroe/Celia
Matt Keeslar/David

Plot:
A lonely serial killer's search for the perfect Family, George Wendt seems like a seemingly normal suburbanite whose sweater-vest-and-groomed-lawn exterior conceals his true nature as a bloodthirsty murderer who kidnaps and butchers strangers in an attempt to assemble a flawless nuclear family; Meredith Monroe and Matt Keeslar are the neighbors who catch his eye as possible new additions.

Acting:
The acting in this film is real good, George Wendt(Harold) was awesome in his role as a crazy serial killer, it’s a role that I could never see this guy playing but it was great, Meredith Monroe(Celia) was good and seemed very believable in her role, Matt Keeslar(David) was pretty funny at times.

Gore:
There is not a lot of gore here but we do get some acid action, and body parts here and there and a hammer to the face.

T & A:
Not a thing just Celia in some lingerie.

Directing:
Landis did a awesome job like he always does, his use of dark humor is great and made this a crazy fun film, the movies also looked real nice and the setting was perfect for this movie.

Soundtrack:
We get lots of gospel music and a score that was nice but not used too much.

Final thoughts:
Family was a pretty fun flick to watch the dark humor was real good, the acting wasn’t bad, and I would say it’s something different to check out, also the ending has a pretty cool twist to it. I would say give this film a shot it’s pretty cool and different. I give it a 6/10.
