Feast III (2009)
Review by David Rupp

The survivors are saved by the mysterious prophet, Shot Bus Gus, who seemingly has the ability to control the beasts. He leads them into the sewers as they travel to the big city. Along the way they get help from karate expert Jean-Claude Seagal and learn that the beasts originate from a place called "The Hive." Armed with this knowledge, they decide to fight back and destroy the beasts once and for all.

This is basically an extension of Feast II, and as far away from Feast as you can get. I recommend you watch the first film and stop there unless of course you are either a completist or a masochist.

We have some very good acting, sets, and effects but the shaky camera that seems to be trendy on some shots is present. A complete air of nihilism is involved that just seems to get worse as the movie progresses, this is not a movie to be a hero in. They did bring back the character introduction with life expectancy, but it wasn't enough to save it from bad puns, one liners and creature anal rape.

A hodgepodge of confusing imagery, bland humor, and ridiculous scenarios I have to say this is one for those who feel they have to see things out to the end. Which will leave you questioning as much as when you started. Even the mariachi singing the trilogy song at the end is no help. Maybe good for a laugh, but not as serious as it thinks it is. 4/10.
