Frog Song (2006)
Review by Jeff

Directed by Shinji Imaoka

Starring:
Konatsu/Akemi Kudo
Rinako Hirasawa/Kyoko Ito

Plot:
Frog Song centers on Akemi, a young woman who runs off into the night after discovering that her husband has been cheating on her. She ends up in a local comic shop where she meets an aspiring comic-book artist, Kyoko, who supports herself by working as a prostitute. Unable to deal with her husband's betrayal, Akemi moves in with Kyoko where they develop a taste of sex, singing and frogs!

Acting:
The acting in this film was ok, Konatsu(Akemi) was good as the girl that lives a troubled life with a cheating husband I believe that was was the point for her obsession with frogs, like a way to hide from the troubles in her life, and Rinako Hirasawa(Kyoko) was ok as the prostitute don’t know what else to say about her.

Gore:
There was no gore here, this isn’t a horror film.

T & A:
We get 3 pairs here and the ladies get some little Asians butt.

Directing:
Shinji did a ok job here, the films looked ok and the film felt real artsy, it was shot real simple so there wasn’t anything real big that stood out.

Soundtrack:
We get a pleasant score that was mild most the time.

Final thoughts:
First off the wasn’t a horror film at all just a whore film being that said this is not my type of film, it has a real artsy feel to it and I’m sure the director had some kind of message he wanted to get through but I have no clue what that would be. There was a lot of scenes I didn’t like to see and was kind of disturbing at times, this film was about three things sex, frogs, and magna, I don’t know a lot about pink cinema but if you enjoy that stuff I guess you may like this film. I give it a 2/10.
