Gutterballs (2008)
Review by Mari Lynne Rupp

A low-budget canadian slasher about a crazed killer who uses bowling pins and balls and wears a bowling bag over his head during his bloody escapades. Saturated thoroughly with canadian rock music circa 1984, this (I can only call it an eighties satire) is quite fun to sit through mostly for the nostalgic aspect. There's a good amount of T& A, including a beaver shot reminiscent of "Basic Instinct", and an extended, gratuitous rape scene that's just painful to sit through as it progresses.
Starring many newcomers (Candace Lewald, Wade Gibb)
The killings aren't particularily inventive and the scripting isn't terribly strong, but to watch an eighties period film with obscure music I used to roller-skate to compels me to be easy on this film.5/10
