Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers
Review by Jeff

Directed by: Joe Chappelle

Starring:
Paul Rudd/Tommy
Marianne Hagan/Kara
JC Brandy/Jamie
Donald Pleasence/Loomis

Plot:
Six years ago, Michael Myers terrorized the town of Haddonfield, Illinois. He and his niece, Jamie Lloyd, have disappeared. Jamie was kidnapped by a bunch of evil druids who protect Michael Myers. And now, six years later, Jamie has escaped after giving birth to Michael's child. She runs to Haddonfield to get Dr. Loomis to help her again. Meanwhile, the family that adopted Laurie Strode is living in the Myers house and are being stalked by Myers. It's the curse of Thorn that Michael is possessed by that makes him kill his family. And it's up to Tommy Doyle, the boy from Halloween, and Dr. Loomis, to stop them all.

Acting:
Marianne Hagan(Kara) was good as the young mom and they did a nice job with the way she looked in the film, Paul Rudd(Tommy) was ok but I just couldn’t take him seriously in his role as Tommy, Donald Pleasence(Dr. Loomis) was awesome as usual, and can always be the bright spot on any of the Halloween movies that he in, sad to say this is last of Loomis we will see.

Gore:
We get a lot of gore here, probably more than I have seen in any of the Halloween movies, we get a spike through the head, neck snapped, spikes through the stomach, lots of stabbing, a guy electrocuted, and a slit throat.

T & A:
We get one pair of cha cha’s here.

Directing:
Joe had a nice use of lighting throughout the film, and had a lot of quick cuts here and there, nothing I was big on.

Soundtrack:
We don’t get a lot of the original Halloween theme used here just some shitty electric guitar type of theme that was over used and sucked ass.

Final thoughts:
I really liked this film a lot more when I was younger, but now after watching it I’m not so big on it. The film needed a lot more time I think to get the story across, it was only a little under a hour and a half, there is a producers cut out there I would like to see but cant get my hands on anywhere. There was some ok acting and the gore was great I will admit, but just to fast of a movie, way to hard to get into. I give it a 6/10.
