Halloween Resurrection
Review by Jeff
Directed by: Rick Rosenthal
Starring:
Bianca Kajlich/Sara
Katee Sackhoff/Jenn
Busta Rhymes/Freddie
Tyra Banks/Nora
Plot:
Serial Killer Michael Myers (Loree) is not finished with Laurie Strode (Curtis), and their rivalry finally comes to an end. But is this the last we see of Myers? Freddie Harris (Rhymes) and Nora Winston (Banks) are reality programmers at DangerTainment, and are planning to send a group of 6 thrill-seeking teenagers into the childhood home of Myers. Cameras are placed all over the house and no one can get out of the house... and then Michael arrives home!
Acting:
The acting in this film is hard to watch, we got Bianca Kajlich(Sara) playing the goodie goodie lead role, she is probably the only decent actress in the film, and we have Busta Rhymes(Freddie) wow this is a joke we have Busta do martial arts moves on Myers yea “trick or treat mothafucka”.
Gore:
There is ok gore scenes here, we get a slit throat, some off screen kills, lots of stabbing, camera stand through the throat, spike through the back, a head cut off, crushed head, and some chainsaw action.
T & A:
We get a brief shot of some boobies.
Directing:
Rick did a ok job with what he was trying to do I guess, lots of low budget first person shots with the web cam stuff, and there was some decent lighting effects but not as good as the other films.
Soundtrack:
The score was real good eerie at times and set the mood for the film well, and we get the classic theme at times, so that’s always good.
Final thoughts:
This movie came out around the time when reality shows were going nuts and I guess they thought shit lets throw Michael Myers in a reality series, I can understand what they were trying to do there and getting all these teen stars in the flick, but it’s not what horror fans want to see and that’s why it bombed at the box office, it’s like Big Brother meets American Pie, fuck that. I give it a 4/10.
