Hatchet
Review by Jeff

Directed by: Adam Green

Starring:
Joel Moore/Ben
Tamara Feldman/Marybeth
Deon Richmond/Marcus
Kane Hodder/Victor Crowley/Mr. Crowley

Plot:
When a group of tourists on a New Orleans haunted swamp tour find themselves stranded in the wilderness, their evening of fun and spooks turns into a horrific nightmare.

Acting:
The acting in this film was great and funny, Joel Moore(Ben) was great as the nice geek, Deon Richmond(Marcus) had some great lines and I think stole the show with his role, and Tamara Feldman(Marybeth) was good as the badass. Also look out for cameos by Robert Englund and Tony Todd.

Gore:
The shit hits the fan here we get a body ripped to pieces, lots of hatchet action, a face ripped in half, gunshots, a leg cut off, head cut off, guy set on fire, ripped off arms, and lots more.

T & A:
There are tons of boob shots here, It’s shot at Mardi Gras so yea..

Directing:
Adam did a great job with how fun this film was, he had some great camera shots and surprised you at times with what happens next.

Soundtrack:
The score was fun and we get some industrial rock at the start of the film.

Final thoughts:
This was a great movie for all horror fans of the 80’s slashers, it has it all awesome gore scenes, great nake up effects for Victor Crowley, and a great cast. The only thing that I didn’t really care for was the ending but I wont spoil that. I give this film a 8/10.
