Originally released back in 2006, Hatchet has now recieved it's long awaited BluRay status. I liked it back when it first was released, and I still like it now those who trash it, well matter of opinion. I feel it was a great return to the old style of slasher/stalker films of the early to mid 1980's, madman/monster/death on two legs out to get the trespassers on his lttle acre of hell. The story is sound, the action is there and the splatter is off the chain as the kids say.
Technically this disc has a great feel to it, beautiful and clean. Toss in a plethora of extras such as an all new commentary with Adam Green and Kane Hodder, The making of Hatchet, Anatomy of a kill, Meeting Victor Crowley and more, but wait....a gag reel, those are always great.
If you haven't seen this, go out and get it, you'll love it if you are a lover of the old slashers, no matter what, Hatchet is the return to the wild west for the american slasher.10/10
