Hellboy (2004)
Review by Bindi Lavelle

Guillermo Del Toro brings big red anti-hero, Hellboy from the page to the screen, with ease.
Hellboy,a s the name suggests is a demon, however not as you would think. The product of Nazi black magic he was found by US soldiers, Hellboy now works for the Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense. The film follows the Bureau as they battle the same Nazi magic, present day.
As you would expect from a film by Del Toro, there is awesome visuals and of course fantastic monsters. The source material allowed for an abundance of supernatural creatures, which the film uses to give a solid sense of Hellboy’s world.
Hellboy, proves to be much more than another comic book movie, it is a dynamic supernatural action film and can be enjoyed by horror and action film fans alike.8/10
