Insidious (2010)

Review by David Rupp

A family looks to prevent evil spirits from trapping their comatose child in a realm called The Further.
Written by Leigh Whannell
Directed by James Wan
Starring: Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne and Ty Simpkins
James Wan, the man who brought you the the original fresh Saw before it became a franchise, strikes again with an extremely creepy goosebump filled saga. I mean I have have seen literaly hundreds of horror films and I'll admit sometimes I still twitch a little at the cheap jump scares, but this one chilled me.
Great acting, kids in peril, supernatural happenings and by the end you wonder why the lights are out and what was that shadow in the corner. I feel this is a must see for fans of supernatural horror. I keeps you drawn in while the suspense ebbs and flows, as well as entertains while spooking the shit out of you. I am impressed by Insidious, it has been a long time since scary movies were actually scary.
