Island Fury (1983)
Review by Jeff Hudson

Directed by: Henri Charr
Starring:
Elizabeth Monet/Sugar
Tanya Louise/Bobbylee
Hank Worden/Jebediah
Stanley Wells/Young Jimmer
Plot:
While visiting a remote island with friends, two young girls discover a cache of mob money. as well as a clan of bloodthirsty cannibals who pick off the vacationers one by one. The girls manage to escape but are kidnapped years later by wise guys hell-bent on getting back their loot. Forced back to the island to find the treasure, the girls and their captors instead find nothing but trouble.
Acting:
The acting in this movie was horrible, it was so bad it was pretty funny to watch, Elizabeth Monet(Sugar and Tanya Louise(Bobbylee) were ok for the most part, Hank Worden(Jebediah) was great his horrid acting was funny as shit, and made this movie laughable.
Gore:
The gore was real light here and I was expecting a lot more, we get some off screen stuff, gunshots, a cleaver to the face, a knife to the chest, a spear to the stomach and a knife to the stomach.
T & A:
We get 2 breast shots here.
Directing:
Henri actually gave us some real cool shots, and the movie had a good plot but it just camre together all wrong.
Soundtrack:
The score was ok but nothing that could help the movie.
Final thoughts:
Island Fury had a real good set up and plot but the way the story went back and forth was shitty and the fact that they didn’t build up any characters was lame. This was just one of those movies that doesn’t really go anywhere and you could really care less what happens next, the only upside to it was the overly bad acting that was funny. I would say if you can find this for rent give it a watch. I give it a 5/10.
