Iszoloscope : Beyond Within And So On

Standout track: The Apocryphal Market (Merchants Of Babel Remix by Manufactura)
Iszoloscope is one of Canada's few true powernoize projects, but one that can lead into the more abstract side of the genre. The band chose to release this album for free via Bandcamp, which turned out to be a great idea for people who aren't familiar with either powernoize or Iszoloscope at large.
The album contains a handful of originals mixed in with some remixes, and one of the more interesting jumps they make is into the blend with breakcore, almost giving those tracks an organic feel. The remixes are good too--note powernoize mainstays Manufactura as they take Iszoloscope to the heaviest level possible.
"The Apochryphal Market" couldn't be a better showcase for the diversity of sounds and styles that Iszoloscpe absorbs into their music, and much more than a free entry-level doorway into what they do. If you've ever been curious about the extremes of electronic music in general, or just want to add to what you already have by this Canadian project, it's worth the download.
