Jack Frost (1996)
Review by Jeff

Directed by: Michael Cooney

Starring:
Scott MacDonald/Jack Frost
Christopher Allport/Sam
Sean Patrick Murphy/Captain Fun
David Allen Brooks/Agent Manners

Plot:
Sheriff Sam Tiler, his wife Anne, and Sam's two deputies (also husband and wife) decide to go on a Caribbean vacation to take their minds off the traumatic events of the previous movie in a place with absolutely no snow. Their holiday will be short-lived, however, as the thawed murderer gets inadvertently re-frozen and brought back to life. As if that weren't bad enough, he now has the ability to remain frozen even in tropical temperatures, and he's headed south to settle some old scores.

Acting:
The acting in this film is way over top cheesy, Christopher Allport(Sam) is real good as he was in the first film, David Allen Brooks(Agent Manners) is pretty funny and his character is over the top, Scott MacDonald(Jack Frost) is back but his role is not as big as in the first film, but he still has his great one liners.

Gore:
We get a lot more blood in this film, we get glass to the mouth, tons of ice cycle action, girl crushed by a snow iron, tongs to the eyes, a head blown up, tongue ripped off, killer snow balls, slit throat, and much more.

T & A:
We get one pair here.

Directing:
Michael made this film a lot more over the top than the first film, movie looked real good, and there were some ok camera shots, the setting was real generic but fit well with the corniness of the movie.

Soundtrack:
We get a little Christmas music, and a score underneath that but nothing that stood out to me.

Final thoughts:
Jack Frost 2 is a good sequel to the first film, but it is way over the top with how cheesy it is, and you could tell he was going for more of the humor aspect and less of the horror. I would say if you liked the first Jack Frost you will most likely enjoy this film a lot, there are a lot of the same people, and it’s just a funny horror flick to watch. I give it a 7/10
