Review by Jeff Hudson

Directed by: George Bonilla
Starring:
Frank Farhat/Kane
Christopher Rose/Warren
Matt Perry/Adam
Rebecca Minton/Julie
Plot:
In the near future, the world has been ravaged by a plague of unspeakable horror. A new carb burning diet enzyme is all the rage until test subjects begin craving red meat and will stop at nothing to get it! Overwhelmed by the numbering flesh-eating populous, the government pulls back into walled off cities known as safe zones where only the wealthy are allowed. In a large southern city a group of survivors known as the Dregs struggle to stay alive, the prey of two enemies the flesh eating living dead and a psychotic band of mercenaries known as the upper class. Into this world comes Kane a stranger with a mysterious past and a skill for tackling the zombies. After being taken in by the Dregs, he’s soon introduced to Adam, leader of the Upper Class, who has his own sinister designs on the loner.
Acting:
The acting in this movie was real good other than the main actor Frank Farhat(Kane) was real cheesy and looked like a skinny ass Lorenzo Lamas and didn’t come across as a badass at all, Matt Perry(Adam) was real good as the main villain and you really wanted to see this guy get it.
Gore:
The gore was pretty good and not that over the top, we get flesh eating, an arm cut off, guts ripped out and eaten, throats slit, a knife to the chest, gunshots, glass broken over head, acid to the face, and a axe to the neck.
T & A:
We get one pair of zombie boobies here.
Directing:
George did a cool job making this look real epic for such a low budget flick, the environment looked really good and the effects were nice too.
Soundtrack:
We get a nice score that is fitting for the film.
Final thoughts:
The Kane Chronicles was a surprise to me, it’s not like a lot of other low budget zombie flicks in the fact that it has a great story and the acting seemed real well done and you could tell the actors were really into there roles. Some people do not like how low budget it looks but I don’t mind it at all. We get good acting, cool gore, some sweet martial arts scenes, and a great story, I would say this is a must see. I give it a 7/10.
