Killer Nun (1978)
Review by Jeff Hudson

Directed by: Giulio Berruti
Starring:
Anita Ekberg/Sister Gertrude
Paola Morra/Sister Mathieu
Massimo Serato/Dr. Poirret
Joe Dallesandro/Dr. Roland
Plot:
A demented nun sliding through morphine addiction into madness, whilst presiding over a regime of lesbianism, torture and death. Sister Gertrude is the head nurse/nun in a general hospital, whose increasingly psychotic behavior endangers the staff and patients around her.
Acting:
The acting in this film was not very good, Anita Ekberg(Gertrude) looked like a crazy nun but other than showing us her evil eyes her acting skills were horrid, as for the rest of the cast they were forgettable to be nice.
Gore:
We don’t really get much here, what we do get is some off screen stuff, a suffocation, needles to the face, some cutting and some stabbing.
T & A:
There is a little for everyone here, we get 2 boob shots, one bush shot, and even a wang for the ladies.
Directing:
Giuilo only did 2 films and I see why after this flick, it was boring and he honestly didn’t give me a single thing I could say about his directing skills in this movie.
Soundtrack:
We get some funky tunes and the score was actually pretty good.
Final thoughts:
Going into Killer Nun I thought we would get lots of blood and nudity but not really it seemed really watered down when it came to both. The death scenes were real shitty and the plot was boring and made me want to fall asleep, along with a shitty twist ending I would say stay far away from Killer Nun. I give it a 2/10.
