Lost for Good

Corey Haim has had a career filled with ups and downs, as like so many other child stars, he grew into a troubled adult. But in the shadow if his tragic death let's instead focus on his body of work.
Haim's debut was in the Canadian television series The Edison Twins, in 1982. Two years later, he starred in first first feature film, Firstborn, a low budget drama. Firstborn showed Corey's talent allowing him to star in a sucession of teen flicks.
One of special note is of course, Lost Boys. A cult fave, directed by Joel "Batman Forever was toatally a good movie" Schumaucher, precurser to the likes of Idle Hands and with the tag line: ''Sleep all day. Party all night. Never grow old. Never die. It's fun to be a vampire.'' Lost Boys showed us the being a vampire made you the ultimate party person.
Sadly for Corey Haim this party lifestyle became a harsh reality. Drug abuse cast a shadow across his career, with Haim never reaching the same popularity he had had as an 1980s teen idol.
But Haim's acting has contributed to 80s horror as well as the rise of the teen flick. Films like Lost Boys, Silver Bullet and Watchers, should be the focus rather than his sad demise.
