The Lost Tribe (2010)

Review by David Rupp

After a devastating boat crash, a group of friends are stranded on an uncharted island where they encounter an ancient tribe of humanoid creatures.
Directed by Roel Reiné and writen by Mark E. Davidson.
Starring: Emily Foxler, Nick Mennell, Marc Bacher, Brianna Brown, Hadley Frase, Maxine Bahns, Ryan Alosio & Lance Henriksen.
Yes Lance Henriksen is awesome, yes there is enough action in this movie to render Stallone into a quivering mass of happy. Once again as in a movie I just recently reviewed, you get a feeling of "this reminds so much of...." and the operative blank to fill on this one is the original Predator in a way.
I do have to give Roel a big kudos on many of the shot sequences, dangling from ropes and wires. It lends a (no pun intended) predatory effect. Most of the acting is the standard SY FY fare, but it's passable. If action and indistinguishable creatures are your lot then this is right up your banana tree, otherwise re-watch Predators and imagine Arnie as a hot chick covered in goo. 5/10.
