Monstrosity (2007)
Review by David Rupp

Monstrosity follows six young people that sneak into the old Williams factory, the site of a bizarre series of murders several years earlier. Local folklore claims the murders were committied by an escaped circus freak, billed as MONSTROSITY. The murderer was never captured, and the case remains unsolved to this day. Hoping to enjoy a weekend of partying, the young group unwittingly discover a tremendous fortune in the abandoned factory. They also discover a dark secret. They are now embroiled in a battle for their very survival.

This was an interesting movie that I was looking forward to putting my peepers on. But the god-awful fake cockney accent in the opening scene almost put me off. I braced myself and moved on, and was rewarded with some truly campy independent cinema. The story line was original, and had some really cool elements to it, Nazi gold, secrets, monsters. Nice camera work and great angles, matched with use of lighting were a plus but nothing personal, it's my pet peeve (no not fast zombies, but yeah that too) unessicary CGI.

Starring: Stacey T. Gillespie, Josh Diogo, Jason Crowe, Billy W. Blackwell, Leslie Rogers, Jessica Miracle, and John Dugan. Written and directed by George Bonilla and ZP International, this movie is a quirky, fun look at some genre ingredients you don't get to see mixed together, baked into an underground classic that will have you telling your buddies, you have to see this man, draw your own conclusion.
