Incident On And Off A Mountain Road (2005)
Review by Jeff

Directed by: Don Coscarelli

Starring:
Bree Turner/Ellen
Angus Scrimm/Buddy
John DeSantis/Moonface
Ethan Embry/Bruce

Plot:
When Ellen's (Bree Turner) car breaks down on a deserted mountain road in the middle of nowhere, she encounters a monster-like man who is intent on killing her. Ellen will not go down without a fight and the game of cat-and-mouse soon shifts as Ellen fights back.

Acting:
The acting in this film was real good, Bree Turner(Ellen) was kick ass as the survivalist girl that is not going to take shit and it was played in a very realistic way, no fake Resident Evil type role, Ethan Embry(Bruce) played a role I never would have that he would ever do, and he played one hell of a asshole I was very impressed with him here, John DeSantis(Moonface) was real cool and looked pretty sweet as the bad guy, also look for a small role by Angus Scrimm(Buddy) he is always great.

Gore:
Not a ton of stuff here but we do get scissors to the head, a wood stake through the leg, stabbing, and some off screen stuff, I thought they could have added a little more gore but it still good.

T & A:
Not a thing here.

Directing:
Don always does a great job of his lighting in his films, and the visuals and setting in this movie was real good, everything looked amazing here.

Soundtrack:
We get a real nice score, set the mood for film great.

Final thoughts:
This was a real well done film that had amazing lighting and a great setting, all the acting was great and just had a great feel to it. This was the first Masters Of Horror episode I seen and it stands as one of the better ones I have seen. If you are a fan of Don’s work you will like this a lot I would say check this one out. I give it a 8/10
