Return of the Living Dead
Review by Jeff
Directed by: Dan O'Bannon
Starring:
Clu Gulager/Burt
James Karen/Frank
Don Calfa/Ernie
Thom Mathews/Freddy
Plot:
When a bumbling pair of employees at a medical supply warehouse accidentally release a deadly gas into the air, the vapors cause the dead to re-animate as they go on a rampage through Louisville, Kentucky seeking their favorite food, brains.
Acting:
The acting in this movie is great, everyone played the role to the best. James Karen(Frank),and Thom Mathews(Freddy) have great chemistry and are so funny together and made this movie what it was, Clu Gulager(Burt) was awesome as the boss, and Don Calfa(Ernie) added some more great humor to the movie. I also liked spider in this movie he was so funny.
Gore:
We get a pick axe to the head, sawed off head, and tons of brain eating action, there wasn’t a ton of gore but when there was it looked real nice.
T & A:
Leanna showed us her stuff oh yea, other than that we get some zombie tits lol and a prosthetic crotch.
Directing:
The directing is great, Dan knows how to cast a great movie, we get some real nice camera shots, and the lighting was real nice, also it’s great to see zombies come out of the graves, something you don’t really see to much in the newer horror films but I always loved it.
Soundtrack:
The score was sweet, but the soundtrack is great. Great use of 80's punk music. You got to love the "party time "theme.
Final thoughts:
This is my favorite movie of all time and I think it's a movie anyone could love to watch. It has horror, gore, comedy, and tarman, and every actor and actress fits so well in there roles. There are a lot of great scenes in this movie you will probably remember for a long time. I give it a 10/10.
