Return To House On Haunted Hill
Review by Jeff
Directed by: Victor Garcia
Starring:
Amanda Righetti/Ariel
Erik Palladino/Desmond
Cerina Vincent/Michelle
Tom Riley/Paul
Plot:
It started when five people agreed to spend one night in a haunted house . . . What began as an evening of fun a harmless scares in exchange for one million dollars to anyone who stayed the night--and survived--soon turned into a night of terror. Years later, several more people risk their lives in search of a cursed statue of Baphomet, a relic worth millions that will come at the cost of their souls. Now, the terror begins when the doomed Return to House on Haunted Hill.
Acting:
The acting in this film is pretty bad, Amanda Righetti(Ariel) is very annoying and tries to act like the badass in the film and I just don’t buy it, Erik Palladino(Desmond) is the one bright spot of this movie he adds some real character to the film and does well with his role, Cerina Vincent(Michelle) is just eye candy and a name get horror fans to watch this movie.
Gore:
We gets a lot of gore here some are good and some are just shitty cgi scenes, we get guts ripped out, a face cut off, limbs ripped off, a body exploded, brain ripped out, head crushed, guy burned alive, and a head bashed in.
T & A:
We get 3 pairs of cha cha’s, but none from Cerina in this movie.
Directing:
Victor did a nice job with the death scenes in this film, but aside from that stuff went downhill, the cgi was horrible when used, the environment of the house wasn’t as good as the first film, and that’s supposed to be the main part of the movie.
Soundtrack:
I don’t really remember much of a score, so if it was there it must not have been that great.
Final thoughts:
This looks like the type of film that would be the movie of the night of the sci-fi channel, and I can see how it was direct to DVD. I like the original movie a lot, and I thought the remake was ok, but this is pretty bad, and other than some cool death scenes there is nothing to offer here. I give it a 4/10.
