Skinwalkers (2006)
Review by Jeff

Directed by: James Isaac

Starring:
Jason Behr/Varek
Elias Koteas/Jonas
Rhona Mitra/Rachel
Kim Coates/Zo

Plot:
Two packs of werewolves, divided by principles are signaled by the moon of the coming of an ancient prophecy. A small boy named Timothy approaches his 13th birthday, unaware this marks the time of his transformation. Timothy has been raised by his mother Rachel, his grandmother, his Uncle Jonas, his cousin Katherine and her boyfriend, Adam. Rachel and her son Timothy have been unaware that the rest of the family are good werewolves that have guarded Timothy since birth. They know that Timothy is a half blood, and will control the destiny of the family. But they also know that Timothy's power will put him in danger, for there are other werewolves that revel and embrace their blood-lust that are prepared to kill to preserve their way of life. These werewolves, led by Varek, Zo and Sonya, are hell bent on finding Timothy...their kin.

Acting:
The acting in this film was pretty shitty for the most part, Jason Behr(Varek) looked pretty cool but that’s all because his acting sucked ass, Elias Koteas(Jonas) was probably the only bright spot here, he is a real good actor and I thought his role was to good for this flick, The rest of the cast meh who cares.

Gore:
Not a lot to talk about here just a knife to the eye, some gunshots, and a bit of biting and clawing action, pretty tame stuff here.

T & A:
The ladies get a dudes butt shot and that all folks.

Directing:
James made this movie look like a big budget flick that cost a lot but in fact it didn’t at all, the movies looks great and we get some slick shots, and the setting was nice but it couldn’t make this a better movie.

Soundtrack:
I don’t remember much of a soundtrack here, but I am sure there is one.

Final thoughts:
Skinwalkers is one of those movies you see the trailer for and are like oh boy here is another Hollywood mtv looking movies for all the teen kids to get excited about, and yea that’s about all it is. There was no good character build up, the acting sucked for the most part, and all it is is a bunch of actors from popular teen shows doing a horror film, makes me want to puke every time these movies come out. I give it a 2/10.
