The Seekers (2003)
Review by Jeff Hudson

Directed by: John Bowker

Starring:
Rob Merickel/Scott
Felicia Pandolfi/Tota
Robert J. Olin/Chris
Shannon Barksdale/Teresa

Plot:
What if the opportunity arose for the answers to all of life's questions were to be laid at your feet? What value would you place on the ability to know what to say or what to do in any situation? What would it be worth? What would you give? What price would be too high? Would any? Scott is about to be given that opportunity. What will Scott be willing to sacrifice for those answers? What starts out as a run-in with a strange blind woman turns into a terrifying experience for unsuspecting people, family, and friends.

Acting:
Where to start here, well first off this is a very low budget flick and it shows by the acting, Rob Merickel(Scott) is horrible with how he reacts to everything and for a lead role his acting is terrible, Felicia Pandolfi(Tota) I have seen in 2 of John’s other films but wow she went down hill in this movie just like everyone else in this movie they just show horrible emotions, and just look like they don’t care to be doing this movie and I don’t blame them one bit.

Gore:
We don’t get much here and when we do it looks real bad, we get some off screen kills, biting, a ripped out heart, by the way I didn’t know you could rip a heart out of someone’s stomach, and a gunshot.

T & A:
Well we get 4 pairs of boobs, and a bush shot, and believe me this might be the first time it has made the film even worse.

Directing:
Just like John’s other films I have seen the Evilmaker 1 and 2 he used the same shitty camera, and looks to be the same area to film this movie, the film looks real bad, and the settings are terrible, and the effects looked real bad on top of it.

Soundtrack:
We get a very over dramatic score that does not fit this film well at all, and some shitty rock music probably done by the directors friends or something.

Final thoughts:
I like low budget horror film, but this hit’s the bottom of the barrel, I try to cut indy horror films some slack because of there budget and stuff but this movie I cant do the same for, the production was shitty, the acting was real bad, this doesn’t offer anything that I could see anyone saying “wow that’s a good movie”, so if you see this for sale don’t get it, even on Amazon they have this flick used for like .39 cents and it’s not worth that. I give this film a 1/10.
