Satanic Sluts: The Black Order Cometh (2007)
Review by Peter Syslo

THE SATANIC SLUTS: THE BLACK ORDER COMETH (2007 – UK ) is a recent release by Salvation/Redemption Films (www.salvation-films.com). THE SATANIC SLUTS can best be described as a troupe of erotic performance artists, much like THE SUICIDE GIRLS. The manner in which TSS differs is that the troupe pushes the envelope and ventures into dark sexuality and the horror realm. I do really enjoy the idea behind TSS and, believe me, I was very eager to see THE BLACK ORDER COMETH. But, I felt that it was actually a little on the tame side – a little reserved. Now, I didn’t expect full-blown pornography, but I did expect a little more of an unbridled, “wild side” to the film.
TSS: THE BLACK ORDER COMETH is directed by Nigel Wingrove and it stars Poisoned Venus, Tiara Tart, Dischordia, Chelsea Chainsaw, Joy Midsomer, Dominick Destruction, Kerosene, and Eileen Daly. The film also features some music by Cradle of Filth’s Charles Hedger, which is an excellent atmospheric compliment to the various scenes.
THE BLACK ORDER COMETH is basically a collection of horror-inspired vignettes which feature the lovely members of TSS. There are scenes of BDSM, dark fantasy, vampiric horror, and historically-based horror. In between fantasy scenes, there are also “meet and greet” segments where each of the girls are introduced and they answer a series of questions on incendiary topics, such as abortion, religion, etc.
Overall, the film was a decent collection of erotic scenes, but I just wanted a little more… of everything. I realize that it wasn’t going to be depictions of girl-on-girl sex, but I did want to see a little more “boundary pushing” and “naughtiness”, in general. Though, the film truly does deliver in one exceptional scene - “Gimp” - featuring Dischordia and Chelsea Chainsaw. One girl pierces the other’s face and upper body with needles and the girl also cuts the other with a scalpel – to top it off, the two maintain a passionate connection throughout the “torture”. That was actually something that I have never seen before and that scene alone is worth owning this DVD – it was a shocking scene, like a carnival “freak-show”, which was absolutely worth the price of admission.
All in all, I do admit that I wanted to see more nudity (let’s face it - you are watching this for the girls). There was one instance of full-frontal nudity, but overall the film featured a few topless scenes and in some scenes, there was no real nudity at all. I guess that my criticism is actually a complement to the girls – they are all very beautiful and undeniably sexy (and that British accent does complete the package). My favorite scenes, aside from the one that I mentioned before, were “Frenzy” (about a female vampire) and “Vampire Attack” (two female vampires attack and kill a female victim - what can I say? I “go in” for the female vampire thing!). My favorite girls, overall, were Poisoned Venus - who is simply a horror fan’s dream girl - and Dischordia - who is the intellectual, cultured, worldly, yet dark and mysterious f antasy girl. I thought that the scenes involving them were very hot (Poisoned Venus as the vampire in “Frenzy” was perhaps the hottest, sexually speaking) and that eroticism, along with a few great scenes, really made the film.
Cutting to the chase: TSS: THE BLACK ORDER COMETH was interesting to see. The girls were dark and sexy, just like you would expect, but I think that they could have done a little more with the material. It was all beautifully filmed and the vignettes were all very artistically done, but I wanted more out of it. The bottom line is that the film is all about the girls and I am not at all exaggerating when I say that they are all very beautiful and desirable women – you won’t be disappointed in that department, believe me. If you like the darkly erotic, the SUICIDE GIRLS movies, or the Goth scene in general, then you would probably enjoy THE SATANIC SLUTS: THE BLACK ORDER COMETH. I really did enjoy portions of it and it does have that exotic quality which is difficult to resist. I give it a 5 out of 10.
