Plot:
Alex leads a group of young backpackers who find themselves stranded on a remote Brazilian beach; an exotic paradise, with warm sunshine, cool ocean breezes, and plenty of hot bodies. But, after a night of partying, the wayward turistas are drugged and robbed, and their dream vacation becomes a gruesome nightmare. Trapped and desperate, the vulnerable travelers are lured deep into the menacing jungle and beyond, where a dark and twisted fate too terrifying to imagine awaits.
Acting:
The characters in this film are horrible and I don’t see how anyone could give a shit less what happens to any of them, in the likes of Hostile and the Saw movies the people are just throw a ways for the most part. I wish I could say more but I cant.
Gore:
We get some fingers cut off, a guy stabbed in the eye, some scalpel action, gunshots, a arrow through the eye, and a rock to the head, you standard torture porn type of stuff goes on here.
T & A:
We get 3 pairs of boobies here and the ladies get some shirtless dudes, I guess it’s even for everyone here.
Directing:
Just another torture film so I can’t really say much for his originality, and it looked like every other teen/torture film that’s out rite now, the low drowned out lighting, but one thing is the place they shot was beautiful.
Soundtrack:
We get some shitty ass Brazilian rap, and the score was ok but nothing special, just standard.
Final thoughts:
I thought this film was real boring, and just seemed to drag a lot, I didn’t care about the characters in the film at all so it was hard to give a crap what happened in the film. On a funny side not the director of the film played Cougar in the movie Top Gun, so what happened? Maybe he try and direct a action flick. I would say skip this one unless you get off to these movies. I give it a 2/10.
