Video Violence 2
Review by Jeff
Directed by: Gary Cohen
Starring:
Bart Sumner/Howard
Uke/Eli
Gordon Ovsiew/Gordon
Plot:
Howard and Eli, the killers from the first Video Violence movie, are back and are now hosting their own TV show. Broadcast secretly from their basement, the show looks a the fine art of murder, letting other aspiring psychos send in videos of their handiwork for the world to enjoy. Some viewers are shocked and horrified, but many more become avid fans, clamoring for more and more blood.
Acting:
The acting in this film is ok, probably lots of friends and local talent used, Bart Sumner(Howard) and Uke(Eli) were pretty funny and sick at the same time, and there sidekick Gordon Ovsiew(Gordon) didn’t really say much but was real funny with his facial responses.
Gore:
This movie is all about the gore, we get a steak to the heart, bit neck, a guy electrocuted, some scissor action, thumbs cut off, a girl suffocated, eye cut out, and some fingers cut up. There is lots of awesome gore and special effects here.
T & A:
We get I think it was 4 or 5 pairs of melons, and the ladies get a pizza guy in his undies, I guess we all win here.
Directing:
Cohen is back with the shot on video look, but it looks better than part 1, and the special effects are the highlight for the film.
Soundtrack:
We don’t really get much of a score, but at least it’s not the same repeating one from part 1.
Final thoughts:
Video Violence 2 continues from the first movie, and I feel it’s a much better movie with lots of gore and cheesy acting, and you got to love Howard and Eli. I can almost see some asshole getting the rites to theses movie and remaking them with the whole torture theme being as popular as it is now. I give this film a 6/10.
