The Witching Hour (2006)
Review by Jeff
Directed by: Francois Merlin
Starring:
Alexandre Guegan
Yann Joseph
Nicolas Verdoux
Ulrich Waselinck
Plot:
Witching Hour is a fast, furious pumped up adrenaline ride through Hell as a group of gangsters battle their way through zombies, crazies, demons, psychos and some pretty full-on witches to get back a stolen gem. Featuring extreme fight scenes, brutal violence and some sick humor, The Witching Hour is pure raw energy injected straight into your eyes!
Acting:
The acting in this film was a total cheese fest, first off this is a French movie with English subtitles so yea it annoyed the shit out of me to listen to them talk for almost 2 hours, that aside the acting seemed real bad.
Gore:
There was tons and tons of gore here, we get lots of gun shots, some knife action, a knife to the head, a guy ripped in half, a little chainsaw action, biting, guts ripped out, some stabbing, a girl blown up, and more.
T & A:
We get one pair of witch breasts, bout the only good part of this flick.
Directing:
Francois had tons of quick camera shots way too many it gave me a headache watching this flick most of the time, and a lot of time the screen looked of color and looked like shit.
Soundtrack:
We get some rock type of music throughout the film.
Final thoughts:
Reading the back of the dvd it sounded like a sweet flick, but oh was I wrong, all the fast camera shots, cheese ass acting, and so many of the scenes just dragged on way to fucking long made this a real bad flick. The idea of the film was good and the gore scenes were pretty sweet at times, but that is far from making this a film to watch. I give it a 4/10.
